Our Team

The Canine Unit includes passive and active search dogs. These have the ability to search buildings, grounds, vehicles, people etc. Our active dog teams are trained to find Narcotics. 

Each Canine Unit, consists of a handler and dog combination, who are experienced in working together and communicating with each other. Our dogs are taught to associate the smell of illicit drugs they are screening for with their favourite toy. 

Each dog and Handler goes through multiple stages of extensive training:

Agility training 

Environmental training 

Scent training 

Continuous training
